DOCUMENTATION / GETTING STARTED
Retrieve. Inspect.
Verify.
Use standard HTTP tools to download a resource and check its integrity.
Save the three sample files.
The download library contains a README, a small JSON document and their checksum manifest. Save all three in the same directory and keep the original filenames.
curl -fSLO /downloads/README.txt
curl -fSLO /downloads/example.json
curl -fSLO /downloads/SHA256SUMSCompare the checksums.
On Linux with GNU coreutils, run:
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMSBoth files should report OK. On macOS, use shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS. On Windows, use Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\example.json in PowerShell and compare the hash with the manifest.
Use the supplied resource URL.
Public resources support GET and HEAD requests. Preserve the URL path and filename exactly. A 404 response means that the requested resource is not available at that path.
Examples are public and require no credentials. Never include passwords, access tokens or personal data in a public sample URL.
